The new optometry school is affiliated with the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS). The lectures will take place at the School of Optometry Lincoln Square Academic and Student Center, 10 Lincoln Square, Worcester. There are two parking lots adjacent to the building offering free parking for attendees on December 2 as well as street parking. More details about parking and driving directions are below.
From the North or South: Take 495 to Exit 25B for I-290 W toward Worcester. On 290, take Exit 18 for Rte 9 to Ware, Framingham. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Downtown and merge onto Lincoln Street. Cross Rte 9 (Belmont Street); Lincoln Street becomes Major Taylor Blvd. MCPHS is about 500 feet on the right. Please Note: Google Maps, Mapquest and other map programs will give you directions to 10 Lincoln Street, which is the intersection of Route 9 and Major Taylor Blvd. You need to proceed down Major Taylor Blvd for the entrance to MCPHS. Parking directions are below.
From the West: Take the Mass Pike (1-90) East to Exit 10 (Rte 290 East toward Worcester). On 290, take Exit 17 for Rte 9 to Ware/Framingham. Turn left onto Rte 9 West (Belmont Street). Turn left onto Major Taylor Blvd. MCPHS is about 500 feet on the right. Please Note: Google Maps, Mapquest and other map programs will give you directions to 10 Lincoln Street, which is the intersection of Route 9 and Major Taylor Blvd. You need to take the left onto Major Taylor Blvd for the entrance to MCPHS. Parking: Once you have taken the right from Major Taylor Blvd, the parking garage is on the right, directly across from MCPHS. If the garage is full, go back to Major Taylor Blvd and take a right, go about one block, and just past School Street, there is a gate for another parking lot. There also are metered parking spaces on School Street, Main Street and Thomas Street that are free on Sundays.
