Using Chat During a Webinar

The Chat feature on our Cisco WebEx website is a way to ask questions of the web host or the speaker during one of our live webinars. We also use Chat to verify that you are at your computer during the webinar, which is necessary in order to receive CE credits for these lectures.The process for using Chat depends on the type of electronic device you are using.

The Chat feature should be open when you join an NGS webinar on a computer. However, the Chat window may be minimized. If you do not see the Chat window under the list of participants, click on the greater-than sign (>) to the left of the word Chat under the list of participants to open the Chat window. You can also click on the Chat icon (with the speech bubble) at the bottom right of the screen.

If you are using a smart phone or tablet, the Chat window procedures are different, and you cannot see the Chat window and the lecture at the same time. For more information about the Chat window on different devices, click on the link below to download a PDF file with more details,
